WEIGHT WATCHERS LASAGNA

WEIGHT WATCHERS LASAGNA

350 degree oven for 1 hour and 15 min.
Brown together: 1 lb. ground turkey or hamburger (I used ground turkey yesterday)
1 onion cut up and 1 clove of garlic cut in tiny pieces.
Add: 16 oz. stewed tomatoes (I used Del Monte Stewed Tomatoes, Mexican Recipe)
(Since it comes in only a14-1/2 oz. can, I used one and (half cans)
6 oz. can of tomato paste
1 cup water
2 tbsp. dry parsley
1 tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. basil


Mix in separate bowl: 24 oz. carton of cottage cheese (I always use Fat Free cottage cheese)
1/3 cup of Parmesan Cheese (It's grated cheese in can located usually in a store with the pastas
1 tbsp. dried parsley (found with the spices)
1 tsp. oregano

Spoon 1/2 of the meat and tomato sauce mixture in greased 9 x 13 pan.

Put 4 uncooked lasagna noodles (1 more if needed to cover the bottom)

Then spread the 24 oz. of cottage cheese on top of lasagna noodles.

Put 4 more uncooked lasagna noodles on top. (or enough to make a layer in the pan)

Spread the other half of tomato and meat sauce over the top.

Lay on top 8 oz. shredded or sliced mozzarella cheese. Bake 1 hour withit covered and then 15 min. uncovered. Set for 5 min. after it is taken out of oven before serving.
